What's a "Test Environment?"
Sente uses the term "test environment" to describe the complex web of people, tools, practices and roles that drives the execution of mission-critical product testing functions. In many companies, the test environment represents an untapped source for dramatic improvements in profitability, time-to-market and engineering productivity.
Overview        Sente Tools        Getting Started

Unlike conventional approaches to test equipment asset management—including off-the-shelf or custom asset management software—Sente's Test Resource Management™ (TRM) solutions account for the dynamic of People, Practices & Tools that drives all test-related activities in engineering cultures. By implementing solutions that account for all three of these key elements, Sente's customers have achieved business performance improvements that far exceed market standards.

Tailoring The Solution That Works For You
Since our inception, we've worked with customers to tailor TRM solutions that work in their distinct engineering and operations environments. Our stepped approach to implementation lets you ramp up to breakthrough performance in a prudent manner, while quantifying ROI all along the way.

STEP 1: Test Environment Assessment (3 to 4 weeks) – A staged approach to identifying and quantifying opportunities for improvement in your test environment. The exact duration of Step 1 depends on your focus in gathering data for the assessment. The following are offered free of charge to minimize the costs to your organization prior to Sente demonstrating a compelling ROI:
  • Fact Finding: In this stage, Sente provides a TRM Self Assessment and Data Collection Guide to help you organize your effort. Sente interprets the data and holds a brief telephone conversation with you to mutually determine if a bit more investigation makes sense.
  • Domain Expert Interviews: Sente facilitates a series of telephone conversations with 5 to 10 people in your organization who have real-world knowledge of how specific processes work within your company. These interviews last approximately 30 to 45 minutes each and often take place in 2 or 3 separate group meetings attended by 2 to 4 people each. Information gathered from these interviews is analyzed to assess your existing capability level.
  • TRM Business Case: A final report is generated and presented to your company that includes the current state assessment of your processes and a gap analysis versus best in class.  In the event a TRM solution is appropriate at this stage, a plan of action is provided with an estimated cost savings from the effort.
STEP 2: Customized Quickstart™ Proposal (1 to 3 weeks) – Sente will work with you to design a customized approach to implementing TRM in your environment that suits your specific needs. The various components considered are listed below.
